About Bill

Born in Pottstown, PA, William D. Troutman, a life-long Pottstown resident, is a graduate of the former Saint Peter's School and Saint Pius X High School. He graduated in 1973 from Kutztown University with a BA degree in Biology. In 1974 he spent a year at Pennsylvania State University in a graduate program in genetics. In 1975 he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with a degree in Mortuary-Arts and Sciences. He began his internship at the funeral home that same year and became a partner in 1983.

Bill and his wife Katherine E. (Warker) Troutman, who is a receptionist at the funeral home, are proud parents of three children, Lauren Palladino, Marlaine and Matthew Troutman.

Over the years Bill has been an active member of the Pottstown community serving as a member and treasurer of St. Pius X Alumni Association, Old Pottstown Preservation Society which is now Preservation Pottstown, and the former Pottstown Jaycees. He was also a former Board of Directors member of the Visiting Nurses Association of Pottstown and member of the Pottstown United Way. Bill is currently a Fourth Degree member of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, Assembly #3046 Knights of Columbus of Stowe, PA.

We are very grateful for Bill's many years of service to the community. He is enjoying retirement.
