Zelma Sperat

Zelma (Roberts) Sperat, 97, wife of the late John J. Sperat Sr., passed away peacefully Sunday, July 10,

2022 at Amity Place, Douglassville.

She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Bird Roberts. Zelma met her husband, Jake, while he

was stationed at Lowry Field, Denver, Colorado during World War II. They moved back to Pennsylvania

to raise their family.

Zelma is survived by her five children, John J. Sperat Jr. (wife April), Mark T. Sperat (wife Sandy), David P.

Sperat (wife Dawn deceased), Dennis G. Sperat (wife Monique) and Karen L. Mendigorin, a sister Luella

Bagley, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and beloved husband, Zelma is predeceased by siblings; Dorothy Peck, Winell

Boise, Flora Wittwer, Inez Downen, Edger and Marvin Roberts.

Zelma enjoyed gardening, knitting, taking walks, playing the slots at the casinos, doing crossword

puzzles, winning at scrabble and spending time with family.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Warker~Troutman

Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11 A.M. a public

viewing will be held prior to service on Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow the service in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
