Winifred "Winnie" (Lacey) Dabney, 55, was ushered back to the Lord after a sudden illness on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. She was the loving and devoted wife of Dionn Lee Dabney. The couple which resided in Lebanon were visiting family in Pottstown when Winnie became ill. Dionn and she have been together for 39 years.
Born in Pottstown on Valentine's Day of 1965, she was the baby girl of the late Frank Williams and Verna (Lacey) Williams . Winnie was employed for over 10 years with the former Leader House, now known as Park House in Collegeville working in Dietary and Nutrition. She transitioned to the Sanatoga Center in Sanatoga in the same position.
Winnie enjoyed music and watching sports. She loved to shop, eat good food and spend time with her family.
Left behind to cherish her sweet memory are her husband, Dionn Lee Dabney of Lebanon; her beautiful children, DeVon L. Dabney, Taylor L. Dabney and stepson, Breon Waller of Pottstown; three adorable grandchildren, Harmony Z. Moore-Dabney, Hakeem A. Muhammad-Dabney and Elizabeth Grace Dabney; five brothers, Herbert L. Lacey of Pottstown, Frank E. Lacey of Pottstown, Gary A. Lacey of Royersford, Bryan L. Lacey and his wife, Juanita of Harleysville and Dennis Williams of Reading and one sister, Tammy L. Williams of Pottstown.
Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Sadly, Winnie is predeceased by her parents, her dear brother, Kennard R. Lacey and her precious granddaughter, Nailah A. Muhammad Dabney.
Home Going services for Winnie will commence promptly at 11am on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, 575 Keim St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A viewing for family and friends will be in the church Friday from 9am to 11am. Winnie will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Birdsboro Cemetery, Birdsboro. Due to the Worldwide Pandemic, we must insist that masks be worn at all times and that social distancing is enforced. We will provide hand sanitation. Services will be livestreamed at the link below for those not able to attend.
