William C. Yeager Jr., 85, passed away in his Pottstown residence on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was the loving husband of Monica (Peterka) Yeager, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late William C. Sr. and Margaret (Longnecker) Yeager. Bill was a tool and die repairman for Doehler-Jarvis for 37 years before his retirement in 2001. Bill liked to go RVing, boating, swimming, and fishing at the shore. He was active in Collegeville Area React, the radio emergency group. He was an avid hunter, enjoying time at his cabin in Clearfield County where the family joined together for ATV riding, sledding , snowmobiling, hiking and relaxing around the campfire.
Left to cherish his memory are wife, Monica; son, William C. Yeager, husband of Sharon, of Ferrum, VA; daughters, Julie Tyson, wife of James, of Danville, PA, and Pamela Shaffer of Pottstown; grandchildren: Nicole Neiddu (Clark) , Nicholas Yeager (Brandi), Aharon Tyson (Kala), Shawna Tyson, Thomas Shaffer (Samantha), Carrie Farnquist, Cindy Rice (Greg), Johnathon Shaffer, Bridgett Holbrook (Trevor) , William Yeager (Briana), Jonathon Allen (Alecia), and Kendra Allen; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Helen Speilman of Pottstown.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughters, Marcella Yeager and Patricia Farnquist.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 am in Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Inc., 726 E High St Pottstown, PA 19464. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Live-stream will be available the day and time of service.
Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Pottstown.
