William H. Muthersbaugh, Sr., widower of Dorothy M. (Doyle) Muthersbaugh of Mervine Street, Pottstown, PA died Saturday August 25, 2012 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Limerick, PA he was the son of the late Claude and Stella (Babel) Muthersbaugh. Hal had worked as a mailman for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. Beech & Hanover Streets, Pottstown, PA . He was also a third degree member of Father Bally Council # 1192, Kights of Columbus of Stowe, PA . Hal was an antique car enthusiast and enjoyed working on his car. He was also a U. S. Army veteran. Surviving are three sons William H. Muthersbaugh, Jr. husband of Lynne of Boyertown, PA, Glenn A. Muthersbaugh husband of Linda of Clinton, NY and James M. Muthersbaugh husband of Bernadette of Boyertown, PA . Also, a daughter Cathy L. wife of Denis Heimbach of Pottstown, PA and thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sister-in-laws Noreen Muthersbaugh of Bechtelsville, PA and Jean Swavley of Shillington, PA . Hal is also pre-deceased by four brothers Charles, Robert, George and James Muthersbaugh. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Thursday August 30, 2012 at 11 A.M. A viewing will be from 9:30 – 11 A.M. in the Gathering Center of St. Aloysius R.C.C. . Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township.
