William David Marshall, 57, husband of Laura Bernice (Quill) Marshall of Walnut Street, Pottstown, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his residence. William & Laura were married for thirty-five years. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Patricia (Berry) Marshall. Mr. Marshall had worked as a machinist and special metals specialist for Columbia Boiler Co. formerly of Pottstown for three years and then for Stanley G. Flaggs Co. formerly of Stowe, PA for seven years and finally for the Superior Tube Co. of Collegeville for eighteen years from where he retired in March of 2011. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he played guitar and base for church services, the Pottstown V.F.W. and the former Pottstown American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Surviving with his wife are four sons James Quill, Raymond Quill husband of Nicole and Marcus Quill husband of Jasmin all of Pottstown, PA and Brian Quill husband of Pamela of Phoenixville, PA. He is also survived by a granddaughter Jessica Quill whom he raised and twenty-two other grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. William is also survived by two brothers Stanley Marshall and Wayne Marshall both of Pottstown and a sister Carla Jean Edwards wife of Walter also of Pottstown. Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 20, 2013 at 11 A.M. from Mt. Olive Baptist Church 240 Mintzer Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. William H. Ball III pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, North Coventry Township. A viewing will be Monday from 9 – 11 A.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
