William R. Bailey

William R. Bailey, 75, of South Street, Pottstown, PA passed away on Friday March 21, 2014 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Johnstown, PA he was the son of the late Earl & Margaret (Barndt) Bailey.                                Bill had worked for the Firestone Tire Co. Store on High Street for many years as an industrial truck tire installer and then for Trap Rock Quarry in Sanatoga from where he retired in 2000. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Club in Pottstown and a life member of West End Fire Company in Stowe. Surviving is a son Elwood C. Bailey of Pottstown, PA and three daughters Glenda wife of William Kolessar and Connie wife of Gerald Spaar both of Pottstown, PA and Carol Bailey of Green Hill, PA. He is also survived by a sister Edie wife of Race Reed of Oklahoma and six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 1 P.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Thomas Craver, chaplain of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Pottstown, PA A viewing will be held on Wednesday from noon to 1 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society c/o National Penn Bank 1830 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
