Walter G. Hunt

Walter G. Hunt, Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 5:30 P.M. in the Intensive Care Unit of Pottstown Hospital. Walt was born in Greer, South Carolina to Irene (Smith) and Walter Giles Hunt. He was a member of St. Thomas More R.C.C., the Pickering Lodge Masons and the NRA. Walt was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was active in local politics for many years. Walt enjoyed working in the equipment leasing industry for over 40 years. He ended his career as a State Constable. He also enjoyed coaching for the Norchester Youth Athletic Association. Walt is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cetta (Ioppolo), his two sons W. Jeffrey (Sara), Michael (Denise) and only daughter Michelle (Brad) Davidson. His eight loving grandchildren, Carter, Carson, Hunter, Vincent, Samantha, Bailey, Max and Dylan. His relatives from South Carolina are brother Rodney (Doris) also Jerry (Brenda) Smith and many attentive nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Albert Ioppolo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Thomas More R.C.C., 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465 on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Noon with the Rev. Edward E. Brady, Pastor officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:45-11:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Norchester Youth Athletic Association, 926 Nottingham Road, Pottstown, PA 19465 or to the North Coventry Police Department 845 S.
