Vilma J Estes

Vilma J. (Psota) Estes, 90, passed away on January 30, 2024 at Keystone Villas in Douglassville.

Born October 25, 1933 at Pottstown Memorial Hospital to Joseph Aloysius Psota and Elizabeth

Ann (Kocan) Psota.

She attended Saint Aloysius Elementary School from 1940-1948 then went to Saint Patrick's School in Reading, PA for 9 th grade and graduated from Pottstown Senior High School in 1951.

After graduation Vilma attended Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1952-1953. She started her career at Wernersville State Hospital until 1960. Vilma moved to Washington, DC and furthered her education at Catholic University where she received her Masters of Nursing.

She married Jim Estes in 1961 and spent the next two to three years in South Korea and Japan. Once back in the states, Vilma worked at Pottstown Manatawny Manor as Director of Nursing for three years. Vilma moved to Daytona Beach until 2021 and later returned home to Pottstown until her death.

She loved traveling to Europe and enjoyed years of dealing antiques. Vilma, more recently enjoyed watching her grand-niece and grand-nephews be children and play; she enjoyed getting to know them better.

Vilma leaves behind her memories to be cherished by a brother David Psota, nieces Stephanie (Psota) Kershner, Tricia (Psota) Lutz, three grand-nephews: Lucca, Maximo, Matteo and one grand-niece Arianna.

Along with her parents, Vilma is predeceased by a son, Michael Estes who passed away July, 2020.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc. A service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
