Tierra L. Dobry

Tierra L. (Deitz) Dobry, 56, wife of Edward J. Dobry, Jr., of East Horseshoe Drive, Upper Pottsgrove Township, died Thursday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a four and a half year battle with cancer that she fought with strength, grace and dignity. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late George Deitz and Donna (Leonard) Cronrath. She was a dental hygenist for Dr. Duncan in Pottstown for ten years and then for King of Prussia Dental Associates for twenty years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, 750 North Evans Street, Pottstown where she had been a former deacon. She had also taught Sunday School at the church. Tierra was a 1972 graduate of Norristown High School. She was an avid reader and loved to work on community service projects including Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, and had been a former president of the Junior Service League of Pottstown. Professionally she was a member of the Montgomery County Hygiene Association and the National Hygiene Association. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. Surviving with her husband are three sons, Jason E. Dobry husband of Natalie, of Albuquerque, NM, Jerod M. Dobry of West Norriton, and Jonathan A. Dobry of Phoenixville. Also, two grandchildren, Nolan and Contessa Dobry. She was also survived by a brother Tracy Deitz huaband of Jane of Kimberton, and a sister Tonya, wife of Timothy Thornton of Spring City, PA Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. W. Carter Lester Jr. and Rev. Karen Pidcock-Lester co-pastors officiating. Interment in Schwenksville Cemetery, Schwenksville. A viewing will be Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
