Thomas Nettleton, 70, of Pottstown, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the care of Pottstown Hospital. He was the loving husband of almost 30 years to Marcia L. (Yarmush). Thomas was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Hart), on February 19, 1993.
Born in Albany, NY, to the late John and Mary (Leary) Nettleton, Tom graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. He served his nation proudly in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger from 1975 through 1985. After his honorable discharge, he joined the postal service and worked as a mail carrier in Pottstown for 20 years until his retirement.
Tom was a member of St. Gabriel's Lodge, the Pottstown Quoiting Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed fishing and was a passionate Giants and Yankees fan.
In addition to his wife, Marcia, Thomas's memory will be treasured by his children: Joan M. Rimel, wife of Glenn, of Pottstown; Thomas M. Nettleton, husband of Camilla (Hopkinson), of Exeter; and Amy L. Coleman, wife of Mark, of Gilbertsville; grandchildren, Kylie Rimel, Eion Coleman, Noah Rimel, Kayla Nettleton, Nicholas Nettleton, Kelly Coleman, and Zachary Nettleton; and great grandchildren, Nathaniel Coleman, Eliza Stone, Nova Stone, and Caroline Coleman. Thomas is also survived by his sister, Patricia Bodi, wife of Michael, of East Greenbush, as well as his nieces, nephews, and their families. Thomas will be especially missed by Peapod and Parker, the latest cats he and Marcie rescued.
Thomas was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia, his parents, John and Mary, and by his siblings, Lynn Dittmer, Paul Nettleton, Gail Cady, Lauretta Nettleton, and Mark Nettleton.
Services for Thomas will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Inc, 726 East High St, Pottstown, PA 19464, with committal to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at warkertroutmanfuneralhome.com.
