Thomas George Marcheskie

Thomas G. Marcheskie Jr., 84, beloved husband of 60 years to Sylvia (Wassiluck) Marcheskie, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 20, 1936 in Flushing, NY to Thomas G. and Pauline (Tabasco) Marcheskie Sr. After his graduation from Coal Township High School in Shamokin, he joined the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. After his service he started a career at Honeywell as an expeditor and retired after 35 years. After his retirement, he drove for Enterprise Rental Car for 10 years, enjoying taking road trips and making many friends along the way.

Tom was the most loving husband, dad, pop pop, and great grand pop. He never missed a game, swim meet, dance, play, school event, or concert that his children or grandchildren were performing in. He supported his children and grandchildren in anything they did, whether it was sports or taking up music. He coached both his boys and his daughters when they were younger. He was all of our biggest fans.

He was known for his selfless nature, kind heart, unwavering support, and unconditional love. He was everybody's friend and always told the best stories that we all loved to hear. He knew how to play a "mean" Harmonica, loved to dance, enjoyed his puzzle books, and taking long rides with his wife to get a bite to eat. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed his early mornings at McDonald's with his buddies. Tom was one of a kind and will be so dearly missed.

Along with his wife, Sylvia, Tom is survived by his loving children. Two sons; Todd Marcheskie and his wife Sharon, and Craig Marcheskie and his wife Diane. Two daughters; Lori Swenk and her husband Randy, and Lisa Engro and her husband Michael. His loving sisters, Marlene Shafer and her husband William, and Constance Karpinski, as well as his sister-in-law Joanne Marcheskie. His precious eleven grandchildren; Lyndsey, Maddison, Peter, Mollie, Rachael, Ian, Erin, Jason, Ryan, Eva, & Isabella, as well as his 11 loved great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his dear grand dogs.

Tom was predeceased by a brother, Robert Marcheskie, and his sister Barbara Shinskie as well as one great grandson, Jacob.
