Theresa Peterka-Carey

On Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, Theresa Marie Peterka Carey left this earth to be with her loving and devoted husband, Miles Carey and her beautiful daughter, Francine Sophia Carey in heaven.

Born in Reading on May 19th, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester J. Peterka and Frances S. (Korizno) Peterka.

Theresa was a Nurse for 49 years, retiring in 2019 from Amerihealth Caritas. She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Schwenksville.

She is survived by her siblings: Frances M. Struckmann, Reverend Sy Peterka, Kenneth M. Peterka, husband of Deborah, Agnes A. wife of Antonio Gentile, Mary Catherine wife of David Auman, Gerard J. Peterka husband of Sherrie, Joseph Peterka husband of Kim and Keith Peterka, husband of Barbara.

She is survived by sister-in-laws, Meredith wife of Bob Ficiak, Virginia Carey, Deborah wife of Todd Gillian.

She is also survived by 12 Nephews, 10 Nieces, 13 Grand Nephews, 10 Grand Nieces and 1 Great-Grand Nephew and 2 Great-Grand Nieces.

She was predeceased by her nephew, Brett Auman, great nephew Dennis Auman and sister-in-law Nancy Federer.

She is also survived by her devoted and best friend Kibble.

Services will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2022 at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Schwenksville with the Rev. Sy Peterka officiating. Family will welcome relatives and friends from 9:45 AM till 10:45 AM and Mass will start at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at St. Aloysius New Cemetery in Lower Pottsgrove.
