Temetruis "Big Meech" Lesane, aged 64, of Pottstown, PA, husband of the loving Michelle (Griffin) Lesane, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at the Phoenixville Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 23, 1962, in Harlem, NY, he was the cherished son of the late Muldrow and Queen (Coleman) Lesane.
Big Meech was known far and wide for his radiant spirit and his unforgettable afro - a symbol of his vibrant personality. Growing up on 129th Street in Harlem, he fostered a love for basketball, riding his bike, and watching karate, instilling joy and passion in all who crossed his path. He had an incredible gift for imparting wisdom and knowledge, generously sharing his insights with anyone fortunate enough to connect with him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, embodied by his devoted wife, Michelle (Griffin) Lasane, and his cherished children: Shantese Coleman, Treena Griffin-Winfield, DeAndre Coleman, Demetruis Griffin, and Terek Lesane. His family tree flourishes with his beloved grandchildren: Michelle Winfield, Alexis McFarland, Temetruis Lesane III, Urell Lesane, Amiyah Lesane, Eloni Coleman, Aniyah Coleman, Aliyah Winfield, and Ari Doctor. He is also survived by his siblings, Edith Key, Felicia Lesane, Kecia Lesane, Sharon Coleman, a sister-in-law, Romania Griffin, and brothers-in-law, Johnny Johnson and Lamont Vanderhorst. A son-in-law, Brian Winfield, and a very special cousin/brother, Gene White, along with a host of aunts, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his spirit.
Big Meech is predeceased by his beloved son, Temetruis Lesane, and his sister, Queenie Coleman. His family remembers him as a true legend, whose warmth, kindness, and humor would light up any room.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. at Mother A.M.E. Zion Church, New York, N.Y. A Homegoing service will follow at 7 p.m. at the Church.
A second viewing will be held at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc., in Pottstown, P.A. on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m.Bruial will follow the viewing in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Temetruis was preceded in death by: Muldrow Lasane, Queen Lasane
