Syble Glasser

Syble (Ebarb) Glasser, 79, wife of the late Augustine "Gus" Glasser, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at home with her family.

She was the daughter of the late Rupert and Mary Ann (Procell) Ebarb.

Syble loved being with her family and adored her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and would offer all guests something to eat when they visited. An avid animal lover, she loved squirrels, birds, opossums, and neighbor cats never went hungry.

Syble was raised in Ebarb, Louisiana in a large family of seven siblings and four cousins all living in a small four room house. Her family was a close-knit and loving community and always remained in close contact. A family of deep Catholic faith, she, and her family frequently prayed rosaries together and her grandchildren prayed a final rosary by her bedside hours before her passing.

She is survived by two children, Frendy Glasser (Patti) and Augustine Glasser III. Three siblings: Howard "Brother" Ebarb Linnie "Lump" Martinez, and Ruben Ebarb of Keithville Louisiana. Seven grandchildren: Christopher Glasser, Amy Glasser, Carolyn Glasser, John Glasser, Wade R. Rhinehart, Justin Rhinehart, Derick Rhinehart, and three great grandchildren.

Along with her late husband and parents, she is predeceased by sisters, Carolyn Ebarb, Janey Israel, Sue Fontenot, and Patsy Roan.

In lieu of any donations, the family asks for prayers for those who suffer from Alzheimer's and most especially their caregivers.
