Stewart M Shear

Stewart "Stu" M. Shear, 70, husband of the loving Ruth (Murray) Shear, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2025 at the Pottstown Hospital.

He was the son on the late Michael and Helen (Vladkia) Shear.

Stu was a Yankee and Giants fanatic; he tried to never miss a game on television. He loved the outdoors especially hiking. His cousin, Ted Kujawski and him were known as the "hiking divas." They would go on trips all over but Stus favorite place to hike was Lake Placid. He also enjoyed camping. Stu was a proud member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Church in Pottstown. Once a year, for the past 18 years, he would travel to Bosnia to visit Our Lady of Medjugorje, where he would pray for his family and friends.

Along with his wife, Stu leaves behind his memories to be cherished by his sister, Annmarie and husband Peter Boyko and several nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at St. Michael's Ukrainian Church, Pottstown at 9:30a.m.

Burial will follow in SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Olyphant, PA.
