Sophie M. Swartz-Soltis

Sophie M. (Widger) Swartz-Soltis, 81, wife of Robert Soltis, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Pottstown Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Thomas Widger Sr and Sophie (Hankoski) Widger.

Sophie was an avid reader. She enjoyed baking, gardening and socializing with her friends and family. You could always find Sophie cheering on her Philadelphia Phillies during baseball season.

Along with her husband, Sophie is survived by her children, John Swartz SR., Helen Lightcap, grandchildren: John Swartz Jr., Tyler Swartz, Nathan Swartz, Chad Lightcap, Brittany Hirsch, Siblings: Joseph Widger, Joan Sterner, Charlotte Moon, great grandchildren: John Charles Swartz, Sophie Swartz, Axel Dengler, Zane Swartz, James Swartz, Kaleb Lightcap, Kody Lightcap, Karter Hirsch, Kinsley Hirsch and Kali Hirsch.

Sophie was predeceased by siblings: Donald Widger, Thomas Widger, Ted Widger, James Widger and Patricia Swander.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at The Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A viewing will also be held Saturday morning, October 21, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, Pottstown. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
