Sophia L. Ferenz, 92, widow of Frank A. Ferenz, Sr. of Stowe, PA passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at Keystone Villa in Douglassville, PA . Born in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Fedor and Tekla Fuga. She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School in the class of 1942. Sophia was a member of Holy Trinity R.C.C. 370 South Street, Pottstown, PA where she had been a member of the church's woman's guild and was a member of the church's cleaning group. She was a former member of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Phoenixville, Pa where she had been a choir member and was a member of the Ukrainian dance group. She enjoyed trips with her sisters to the casino's and to bingo, and she especially loved spending time with her grandsons. Surviving is a son James F. Ferenz husband of Alinda of Douglassville, PA . She is also survived by her two grandsons Matthew and Tyler Ferenz. Also surviving is a sister Helen Philipanics of Royersford, PA . She was pre-deceased with her husband by a son Frank A. Ferenz, Jr.. She is also pre-deceased by four brothers Stanley, Joseph, Stephen and John Fuga and by two sisters Mary Shepsko and Rose Shemanski. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Trinity R.C.C. on Monday November 14, 2016 at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Stowe, PA. A viewing will be Sunday evening November 13, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. and Monday morning November 14, 2016 from 9-9:30 A.M. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA .
