Shirley M Tehansky

Shirley M (Zalinskie) Tehansky, 84, wife of the late Robert Tehansky, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Shirley was born in Shamokin, PA on February 22, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Zigmont) Zalinskie. She was a telephone operator for Ellis's Answering Service for several years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church of Pottstown.

Shirley liked gardening, reading and cooking. The time Shirley got to spend with her family were truly the moments she cherished.

Shirley is survived by three children, Bonnie (Tehansky) Purcell and her husband, Harry, Maribeth (Tehansky) Keilman and her husband, Joseph and Jeffrey Tehansky; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Along with her beloved husband, Shirley is predeceased by a son, Robert Tehansky Jr, siblings; Nellie Magyar, Marie Biagi, Helen Crone, Clara Mokriy, John Zalinskie, Edward Zalinskie and Daniel Zalinskie.

Services for Shirley are private and at the convenience of the family. Shirley will be blessed by her priest, Father Nicholas de Prospero of St. John's and will be welcomed in to the Kingdom of Heaven.
