Shirley Ann Kovach

Shirley A. (Ruth) Kovach, 91, known to most as "MeMe" and wife of the late Paul P. Kovach, passed away August 22, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Kramer) Ruth.

MeMe was an avid reader and liked to cook, especially for her family. She enjoyed her trips to Cape May, NJ, the casinos and playing pinochle with her special friends. MeMe loved her chocolate candy. She was also a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Stowe. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She was the heart of the family. It brought her great joy when she recently found out she was going to be a great grandmother. She will be missed by many.

MeMe leaves behing her memories to be cherished by her children: Keith Kovach (wife Lisa), Karen Weglos, Susan Engle (husband Brian), brother Robert Ruth, grandchildren: Alyssa, Brandon, Haley, Bryce and Chase.

Along with her husband, MeMe is predeceased by her loving son-in-law Stan Weglos.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 10a.m. till 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church in Stowe. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Following Mass, inurnment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to BonHomie the Better Days Foundation; this school hold a special place in MeMe heart, it is where her granddaughter, Alyssa, attends.
