Shirley (Walton) Carpenter, 75, of Pottstown, PA passed away on Friday December 22, 2017 at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA . Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ruth O. (Jones) Walton. Shirley had worked for many years at the Best Western Hotel formerly of Pottstown, PA. Shirley was pre-deceased by a daughter Daphne Carpenter. She is survived by five sons Kent Carpenter husband of Vanessa of Limerick, PA, Van Carpenter husband of Kelly of Reading, PA, Marcus Carpenter husband of Isetta of Pottstown, PA , Cory Carpenter husband of Wilfredo of Pottstown, PA and Roman Carpenter husband of Darlene of Pottstown, PA . She is also survived by two sisters Gladys Walton of Reading, PA and Barbara Jean Walton or Rio Rancho, New Mexico and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 29, 2017 at 11 A.M. from Abundant Life Church, 144 South Walnut St. Birdsboro, PA . A viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in Birdsboro Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High St., Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
