Shirley A. (Kulp) Birmingham, age 90, beloved wife of the late John "Jack" J. Birmingham, peacefully departed this life on Monday, July 20, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1935, a cherished daughter of the late David D. and Mary A. (Romig) Kulp.
Shirley was a pillar of her community, dedicating herself to various organizations and initiatives that uplifted those around her. She was actively involved with the Ladies Auxiliary Father Bally Council #1192 for two terms, contributed her wisdom and experience to the Pastoral Council of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Women's Society of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church and served as past President of St. Gabriel's Home and School Association. Her compassionate nature and unwavering spirit made her a beloved figure among friends and family.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley treasured the moments spent with her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter Cheryl Dampman and her husband William "Bill," as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Nunan and husband Philip, and Dale Dampman. She was also blessed with a great grandchild, Aidan, who brought her immense joy. Shirley's legacy of kindness and love will be lovingly carried on by those who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Shirley was predeceased by her dear sister Virginia Reinert. Her memory will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
A night viewing will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc. A day viewing will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Friends and family will have a moment to share stories and memories of Shirley from 10 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Following the share time a Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, Stowe.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Pottstown.
