Ross Taylor Whyte Jr. was born on August 18, 1969 at Balbo Naval Hospital, San Diego, California to Ross Taylor Whyte Sr. and Shirley Jones Whyte. Ross passed away suddenly on January 27 from a long illness. Ross married Melanie Ruth Chronister; they have one daughter Julia Rose Whyte. Ross started his education in San Diego City Schools. He came to Pennsylvania when his father retired from the US Navy and in January of 1979 his family moved to Pottsgrove, PA where they remain. Ross attended Pottsgrove School District and graduated with the class of 1987. Ross worked in several jobs but the time he spent managing "The Compleat Strategist" in King of Prussia gave him the most satisfaction. While working at the Compleat Strategist Ross made many lifelong friends. Ross worked as an actor and appeared in the movie "Jersey Girl" as a reporter. He had several none speaking parts in Television and made several commercials. He also made Demo instruction Videos for Borders books. Ross at a very young age had a great speaking voice and had worked as a volunteer Race announcer for many different events in Pottstown. Ross was preceded in death by his wife Melanie Chronister Whyte. Besides his parents and daughter he leaves to mourn, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends, and especially his close cousins Dean Jones and Kelly Jones (Spayd) who he considered to be his big brother and sister. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 8, 2020 at 1 P.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA. The family will receive friends Saturday from Noon-1P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
