A Funeral Mass for Roger D. Villano, husband of Phyllis (Maddaloni) Villano of West Pottsgrove Township, who passed away on Sunday April 3, 2016 will be held in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C., 127 East Howard St., Stowe, PA on Friday April 8, 2016 at Noon. Family & friends may call from 10:30-11:45 A.M. prior to mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. Born in Birdsboro, Berks Co. he was the son of the late Daniel M. Villano & Adeline (Ruano) Villano. He was the township Manager of West Pottsgrove for 21 years retiring in 2004. He held a Bachelors Degree from Ursinus College & The Reading Business Institute, electronics research division. He was one of the original coaches of the Stowe Youth Organization baseball program in the 1960's & coached the M&M Rams Football organization in the 1970's. Roger was a member of the Montgomery, Chester, Berks Municipal Management Association, the Southeastern PA Municipal Managers Association & Building Official & Code Administrator International, Mr. Villano was instrumental in the transition of West Pottsgrove township going from a converted house as its offices to the present complex located at 980 Grosstown Rd. in Stowe. He also spearheaded Grosstown Rd. railroad bridge & collection of tipping fees for West Pottsgrove township from Waste Management. Mr. Villano is survived by two sons Kevin of Stowe & Anthony & his wife Denys of Exton, daughter Jacqueline, wife of Tim McNamara of Pottstown & daughter Jodi wife of David Zajac & a sister Joyce of Birdsboro. Also surviving him is granddaughters Morgan & Madison & grandsons Nicholas & Eric Villano. He loved his family & enjoyed watching grandchildren in sporting events. He spent hours listening to all kinds of music & watching TV. He was an avid toy train collector & classic car enthusiast. 'Pop' will be truly missed.
