Robert D. Yanos

Robert D. Yanos, 75, husband of Constance A. (Pickar) Yanos of East Coventry Township passed away on Friday December 30, 2016 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Stowe, PA he was the son of the late Mathias and Anna (Waresak) Yanos. Robert was a Tool & Die Maker by trade. He first worked for Dohler-Jarvis Corporation formerly of Stowe, PA. While he worked at Dohlers he was also part owner of Douglassville Auto Body Shop. His last place of employment was for Pickar Brothers Tool & Die where he was a partner in the firm. Bob retired from here in 2007. He was a member of St. Thomas More R.C.C. South Coventry Township. He was also a member of Strichter Lodge #254 of Pottstown, PA . Bob was an avid Bowler and fisherman. He was a hard working man who was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He was selfless in helping others in need. Surviving with his wife are four children Anita E. wife of Vincent W. Markwith of Pottstown, PA, Robert D. Yanos, Jr.husband of Lori A. of Birdsboro, Michael A. Yanos husband of Cynthia M. of Douglassville, PA and Susan E. wife of Joe Walbert of Lewes, DE . He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great grandson, three step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by two sisters Maryann Miller of Florida and Zelina S. West wife of Kenneth of Boyertown and pre-deceased by a brother Matt Yanos and survived by a sister-in-law Shirley Yanos of Douglassville and many nieces & nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel's R.C.C. 127 East Howard Street, Stowe, PA on Thursday January 5, 2017 at 11 A.M. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum. A viewing will be Thursday from 9:30-11 A.M. at St. Gabriel's R.C.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
