Robert Michael Tehansky

Robert Michael Tehansky, 84, of Pottstown, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. He was the loving husband of Shirley M. (Zalinskie) Tehansky.

Born in Shamokin on New Year's Eve in 1936, he was a son of the late Stephen and Eva (Ochinovich) Tehansky. He was a truck driver for 46 years with Mayor Pollock Steel Corp. in Pottstown. He was a member of St. John Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.

Robert enjoyed shuffle board, the Philadelphia Eagles and music of the 50's. But most of all, Robert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, Shirley, Robert is survived by three children, Bonnie (Tehansky) Purcell and her husband, Harry, Maribeth (Tehansky) Keilman and her husband, Joseph and Jeffrey Tehansky; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Stephen Tehansky and his wife, AnneMarie and James Tehansky and a sister, Virginia (Tehansky) O'Leary and her husband, Timothy.

Robert is predeceased by a son, Robert Michael Tehansky, Jr.; two brothers, George and William Tehansky and a sister, Patricia (Tehansky) Moleski.

Services for Robert are private and at the convenience of the family. Robert will be blessed by his priest, Father Nicholas de Prospero of St. John's and will be welcomed in to the Kingdom of Heaven.
