Robert "Dan" Gauger Jr., 71, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the cherished husband of Deborah "Debbie" (Gappa) Gauger, who will carry his memory in her heart forever.
Born on December 10, 1954, Dan was the son of the late Robert D. and Dolores (Weiss) Gauger Sr. He approached life with a spirit of kindness and joy, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Dan began his professional journey at Cann & Saul Steel Co., where he dedicated 16 years of service. He then joined Lenape Forged Products Corporation, contributing his talents for 25 years until his retirement.
A passionate man, Dan found great joy in stock car racing, often seen racing at Grandview. He cherished listening to oldies music and was a fan of classic westerns. Bowling brought him endless joy as he traveled for tournaments, and he loved cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially the Eagles. Family trips to Ocean City, Maryland, will always be a treasured memory, and his heart was filled with love for his furry companions, particularly his cats, who held a special place in his life.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Deborah, his son Robert "Danny" Gauger III and his companion Rachael Numer, his brother Walter "Russ" Gauger Sr., (wife Sue). His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will be carried on by all who had the privilege to know him.
Dan will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. His spirit will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who loved him dearly.
Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc. is holored to serve the Gauger family.
