Robert G. Bickel

Robert G. Bickel, Sr., 86, husband of Anita E. (Prellinger) Bickel of Pottstown, PA passed away on Thursday November 8, 2018 at Pottstown Hospital. Born in Womelsdorf, PA he was the son of the late Harvey and Mary Elizabeth (Yiengst) Bickel. Mr. Bickel had worked as a computer specialist for many years in the Philadelphia area. He loved to play golf and was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II . He was also a member of Strichter Lodge of Pottstown, PA  and the Shriners in Reading, PA . Surviving with his wife is a son Robert G. Bickel, Jr. husband of Lisa Ann of Pottstown, PA and a daughter Andrea R.R. Gangloff widow of Harry of Pottstown, PA . He is also survived by a brother Barry Bickel, Sr. husband of Charlotte of Mechanicsburg, PA. Also surviving are three grandchildren Ashley T. Bickel, Samantha A. Lucas wife of Justin, and Robert L. Bickel.  He is also survived by four great-grandchildren Austin, Jaxon, Georgia and Madison. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 11 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High St., Pottstown, PA . A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9-11 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital or to the American Cancer Society .
