Robert Thomas Frable

Robert Thomas Frable, 96, of Pottstown, PA passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Youngstown, PA he was the son of the late James and Carmen Corrine (Harper) Frable. Robert had worked in management for the Latrobe Steel Corporation in Latrobe, PA for 40 years until his retirement in 1980. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He had received a Good Conduct Medal, American Thr Ser Medal and a World War II Victory Medal during his time in the army. Robert was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Pottstown, PA. He loved to listen to classical music, drive convertibles and watch western movies. He was also a huge Civil War Buff. Surviving are three daughters Melanie Lynn Jacobs of Pottstown, PA, Gloria Dawn wife of Charles Almanza of Azusa, CA and Brenda Joy Frable of Duarte, CA. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Dianne Hayes. He is also survived by four grandchildren Chris Roddy, Michael Jacobs husband of Amy, Kimberly wife of Timothy Barrett and Heidi Turk; six great-grandchildren Krista Reed, Justin Adams, Tyler Jacobs, Hailey Jacobs, Lauren Santos and Ryan Turk and two great-great-grandchildren Jeffrey and Desirae Adams. He is also pre-deceased by a brother Harold Frable and a sister June Lentz Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 3 P.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Kay Bender Braun, pastor of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-3 P.M. at the funeral Home. Interment will be held in Latrobe, PA at a later date . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society 110 W. Laurel Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
