Robert L. Douglass

Robert L. Douglass, 86, husband of Dorothy (Satterwhite) Douglass, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 25th, 2023 at the Phoenixville Hospital.

He was a son of the late Russell L. and Laura Douglass.

Robert was a dedicated husband, father and an exceptionally hard worker. He enjoyed life and was grateful the many gifts of friendship, experiences, joy and travel that God blessed him with. Robert believed in making sure you have good credit and character these were values he shared repeatedly with his family and to those who would listen. Robert was a true community servant, friend and activist who had a deep love for his hometown of Pottstown PA.

Along with his wife Robert leaves behind his memories to be cherished by his children: Robert T. Douglass (wife Saneen), Marva "Penny" Jackson, Gloria J. Day (husband Presley) and Lydia L. Douglass; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Robert is predeceased by his son, Randolph S. Douglass, brothers: Herbert Wright, Kenneth Douglass, Russell Douglass, James Douglass, Samuel Wright, Donald Douglass and a son-in-law, James "Pete" Jackson.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, October 7th 2023 from 9 a.m till 11 a.m at Second Baptist Church, 507 N. Adams St., Pottstown. Homegoing service will start immediately after viewing at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Second Baptist Cemetery.
