Rita O'Connor

Rita Mae (Bucciaglia) O'Connor (96) wife of Edmund F. O'Connor (deceased 2009) passed on September 20, 2021 at Complete Care Berkshire in Reading, PA.

Rita was born in Stowe, PA on May 1, 1925 to Angelo and Mary (Maniscalco) Bucciaglia. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Rita was an excellent homemaker, cook, baker and shrewd Canasta player. Her famous chocolate cake was always most anticipated at gatherings. She worked at Pottstown Shirt Company and Sunset Manufacturing for many years and was a long-time member of St. Aloysius in Pottstown, PA.

She is survived by her son Edmund O'Connor (Charlotte) of Canton, GA and her daughter Angel Richards (William) of Falls Church, Va. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Douglas (Julie), Bradley (Alison) and Timothy Richards and Alex (Maika) and Claire O'Connor and her brother, James Bucciaglia of Palmer Township, PA. She was blessed with three great grandsons; Lucas, Ryan and Ethan Richards and two great granddaughters Reese and Rowan Richards.

At Rita's request, her funeral mass will take place at St. Gabriel's Church in Stowe, PA which was founded by her grandparents, James and Philomena Bucciaglia. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11 AM.

CDC Covid protocols will be followed, so kindly wear a mask.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Complete Care Berkshire Center and Keystone Villa for her care the last few years.
