Richard J. Daily

Richard Joseph Daily, 88, of Pottstown, passed away on July 11, 2024, at Saint Martha's Villas in Downingtown PA. He was the beloved husband of Betty Ann for over 50 years and raised 7 children together. Richard was predeceased by his wife Betty Ann Daily and two children, Kathy Will and Paul James Daily. He is survived by five children: Patricia Andrien, Michael Daily, Robert Daily, Tom Daily and Jeff Daily. Richard also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him dearly

Richard was born in Philadelphia on July 19, 1935, to the late Paul and Mary (Schickling) Daily. Richard grew up with his two brothers, Joe and Paul, and sister, Barbara. He attended Incarnation Church School and St. Williams's grade schools and graduated from LaSalle High School. He then enlisted in the Army and served four years. After leaving the Army, Richard graduated from LaSalle College and worked most of his life as a salesman.

Richard and Betty Ann raised their family in East Coventry township and moved to Pottstown in 1994. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Phoenixville. He and Betty Ann were devout Roman Catholics, practicing at St. Thomas More Parish of Bucktown, PA.

Richard was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan and loved watching the Eagles and Phillies.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Thomas More Parish, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass. Committal will follow at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Birthright of Pottstown, 327 King St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
