Raymond Nestorick Jr , age 70, of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania passed away on December 30, 2024 of heart failure.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Slobodin) Nestorick. He was a 1972 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. Ray became a welder at Budd Company while helping his father on the family farm. In 1983 he and 2 friends formed a landscaping company. Several years later, Ray branched out to form a hydroseeding company. Then in 1999 he established Why Not Farm and began raising Texas Long Horn and Scottish Highland cattle. Why Not Farm has been a favorite destination whether it was to purchase meat from the farm store or to photograph the cattle, people were always welcomed.
Rays love of farming, always in his heart, remained his passion until the day of his passing. His infectious smile, generous spirit and ability to offer a helping hand to anyone in need will always be remembered!
Ray was predeceased by his father and mother, Raymond Nestorick, Sr and Mary Nestorick and sister, Cathryn Nestorick.
Ray is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary (Brostoski) Nestorick. Also surviving are his daughter, Jenny Kofroth (Bob) and son, Cory Nestorick (Kasey). Four grandchildren are left behind to cherish memories of their time spent with Pappy, especially at the barn naming and bottle feeding the baby calves. They were also always thrilled by the bags of treats he surprised them with from Sunoco. The grandchildren are Gracie Tryniszewski, Sadie Kofroth, Bobby Kofroth and Harper Nestorick. Ray is also survived by his sister, Carol Heilner (Larry), nieces, nephew and several cousins. He has also left behind a multitude of friends.
