Philomena R. Gatta

Philomena R. (Chieffo) Gatta, 96, widow of Albert R. Gatta of East Vine Street, Stowe, PA, died Sunday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Stowe, PA she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose (Basco) Chieffo. Philomena was an inspector for Stanley G. Flagg's Company formerly of Stowe, PA. She was a member of St. Gabriel's R.C.C. , Howard & Jefferson Streets in Stowe where she was also a member of the Rosary Society. Surviving is a son William F. Gatta, husband of Jeanette of Stowe, PA and a granddaughter Jeanille M. Gatta of Kennett Square, PA Philomena is pre-deceased with her husband and parents by a son Albert R. Gatta, Jr. and seven brothers Salvatore, Jr., Dominick, Ralph, Michael, Anthony , Ralph & John Chieffo and a sister Catherine Chieffo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel's R.C.C. on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. . Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Stowe, PA . A viewing will be Thursday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Gabriel's R.C.C. Memorial Fund c/o 127 East Howard Street Stowe, PA 19464.
