Pearl Joanette Kushnerick

Pearl Joanette (Pomidor) Kushnerick, 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 13th, 2021. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Kushnerick, Sr. with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Shamokin, PA on November 27th, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna (Rutkowski) Pomidor and a faithful member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Pottstown.

Pearl worked for 20 years as a Registration Administrator for Montgomery Co. Community College. She was part of the original staff in Western Montgomery Co. where her colleagues affectionately referred to her as "Pottstown Pearl".

She was a member of the Pottstown Senior Center, St. Gabriel's Seniors, St. Aloysius Rosary Group, Tuesday Morning Prayer Group and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Pearl was a lector, church cleaner and in bereavement support at St. Aloysius Church. She was selfless and enjoyed serving others.

Surviving are four sons, Michael Kushnerick and his wife, JoAnne of Ocean Grove, NJ, John Kushnerick and his wife, Harriet of Tulsa, OK, Joseph Kushnerick, Jr. and his wife, Marie of Blue Bell and Robert Kushnerick and his wife, Catherine of Gilbertsville; a daughter, Mary Ann (Kushnerick) McMenamin and her husband, Sean of Gilbertsville; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Bernard Pomidor and his wife, Doris of Pottstown.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Joseph, Pearl is predeceased by a brother, Walter "Bill" Pomidor and his wife, Jeanette.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, August 21st, 2021 in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, Pennsylvania 19464. A viewing will be held prior from 9:30 am to 11 am in the Gathering Center. She will be entombed with Joseph in the mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation for the beautification of St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
