Nicolene E. Nailon, 90, wife of the late John J. Nailon, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Pottstown Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Domenico V. and Cesidia (Marcantonio ) Yannessa.
She attended Pottstown schools and graduated from Pottstown High School in 1952. She married the love of her life John Nailon in 1954 and they were married for 60 years. Nikki was a lifelong member of Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.
Nikki was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Even at age 90, she kept up with current events and readily offered her opinion. In 1973, she started her career in the Accounting Dept. of Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. in Pottstown and retired from Occidental Chemical in Berwyn. She made many lifelong friends during her years there.
Nikki enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City and also loved the Phillies. She loved talking baseball. She never missed a game and for years she recorded them all on her VCR.
Nikki was a very loving Mom, Nanny and GNan. She never forgot a birthday. She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her memories to be cherished by her children, Michele Cappelletti (husband Matthew), John Nailon (wife Deborah), six grandchildren: Nicole Windish (husband Mark), Adrienne Faralli (husband Justin), Mary Bognanno (husband Joseph), Rochelle Nailon, Lisa Richards (husband Skip), Jessie Nailon (husband Kyle Persing), great grandchildren: Gia Perrone, Wesleigh Windish, Myla Mattiola, Julian Faralli, Cecile Faralli, Leo Mattiola, Gino Bognanno, Reid Richards and Jude Richards.
Along with her husband and parents, Nicolene is predeceased by her stepfather, Alfonso Sandora, an infant daughter, siblings: Lillian Schmoyer, Ida Olock, Albert Yannessa, James Yannessa and Pauline Schmoyer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Keystone Villa Personnel Care for the excellent care provided during her six months residing there.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. in St. Aloysius Gathering Center, Pottstown. A Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.
Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
