Nicholas Hiriak

Nicholas Hiriak Sr., age 101, husband of the late Olga "Ella" (Budnick) Hiriak of Arrow Dr. Gilbertsville passed away Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Pennsburg Manor. Born in Carteret, NJ he was a son of the late Harry and Tekla "Tessie" (Melnyk) Hiriak. He was employed as a supervisor by Boyertown Auto Body Works. He was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a hunting club. He enjoyed the mountains and reading and was an avid Phillies fan. Surviving are sons Nicholas Hiriak Jr. and his wife Rita of Green Lane and Stanley Hiriak of Gilbertsville. A grandson Nicholas Hiriak and great-grandson Gregory Hiriak. A brother Carl Hiryak and a sister Mildred Cias. Predeceased by brothers Theodore Hiriak, Andrew Hiriak, Michael Hiriak, Walter Hiriak and Paul Hiryak. A sister Anna Krezanosky. Divine Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 am Tuesday January 31, 2017 in St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church 425 Walnut St. Stowe. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 am at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 High St. Pottstown.
