Mickey J. Overdorf

Mickey J. Overdorf, 78, widower of Ann (Zlotnick) Overdorf  of Pottstown, PA passed away on Saturday April 20, 2019 at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Paul and Suzanne (Boone) Overdor, Sr. Mickey had worked as a machine operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corp., formerly of Pottstown, PA. Mickey was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Holy Trinity Club, former Maria Assunta Lodge and was a member of the former Transfiguration Lutheran Church of Pottstown, PA. He was an avid football fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was a dog lover and his favorite artists were the Beatles. Surviving are two sons Mark John Overdorf husband of Melissa of Morgantown, PA and Matthew James Overdorf husband of Angela of Pottstown, PA . He is also survived by two daughters Kelly Ann Horvat wife of John of Pottstown, PA and Tracy Lynn Chiyka husband of Thomas of Exeter, PA. He is also survived by a brother Paul Overdorf of Summerfield, Florida. He is survived by six grandchildren Angela, Amanda, Allison, Kyleigh, Brenden & Jonathan. A Memorial service will be held on Friday April 26, 2019 at 10 A.M. from the Higher Ground Church 1126 South St., Pottstown, PA . with Pastors Steven and Wanda Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Montgomery County S.P.C.A. 1059 Sweisford, PA Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
