Michael A Raymond

Michael A. Raymond Jr., 82, passed away on September 1st, 2021, at his residence in Stowe, PA.

Born in Pottstown, PA on March 1st, 1939 he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Cieri) Raymond Sr.

Michael Raymond Jr., was a graduated of Pottstown High School Class of 1957. After high school, Michael went to college for a few years then he joined the United States Marines and was honorably discharged in December 1967.

Michael's dad began an Ice and Coal business after immigrating to Pottstown from Italy in the early 1900's. After delivering coal for his father for many years he went on to purchase an oil truck and expanded the family business into the home heating oil field. He ran that successfully in the Pottstown area for nearly 50 years before his son, Mark, took over the Corporation.

After Michael retired in 2014, he spent his time relaxing on the Boardwalk of Ocean City N.J. on his favorite bench enjoying the sounds of the ocean while reading his newspaper. He also loved sports and would rarely ever miss a Penn State football or Villanova Basketball game. However, the thing that meant the most to Michael was spending time with his grandchildren.

Along with his parents Michael, is predeceased by one brother Julius Raymond and three sisters Louise Kaas, Rita Makros, and Ida Raymond.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Aloysius Church, Pottstown at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 13, 2021. Prior to Mass a viewing will be held in St. Aloysius Church from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
