Melissa S. Oister

Melissa S. Oister (Missy), 37 of Stowe, PA, in her home and surrounded by her family, spread her wings and joined the angels on September 17, 2017. Melissa was born on July 21, 1980 in Pottstown, PA. She is the beloved daughter of Mary L. (Graziani) Oister and Ralph W. (Bill) Oister. Missy was the amazing mother of Mason. Who was the light of her world. She was the best friend and sister of Danielle (Oister) Van Horn, wife of Daniel Van Horn of Stowe, and sister of Allison Oister-Foster of Reading. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Cody Foster, Macenzie Van Horn, Savannah Van Horn, and Daniel Van Horn, and was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Velia and Daniel Graziani and paternal grandparents Howard N. and Elizabeth M. Oister. Missy had stage 4 breast cancer and never let it define her. She fought her 8 year long battle everyday with tremendous courage, strength, and a smile. She is best known for her beautiful smile. Her smile lit up the room wherever she went. There is nothing in the world that meant more to Missy than her family and friends. She loved to plan gatherings just so everyone could be together. Her favorite past time/addiction was shopping. She also liked making beautiful floral arrangements. Missy was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School class of 1998. She was formerly employed at Continuing Care RX as a pharmaceutical technician. Family and friends are invited to extend their sympathy and respects to family on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Warker/Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11 am at St. Columbkill's, Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512 with Fr. Martin Kern Officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the mass from 9:45-10:45 A.M. at the church. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Melissa Oister to Einstein Medical Center, Montgomery Cancer Fund: 609 W. Germantown Pike, Suite 280, East Norriton, PA 19403.
