Maryann Patricia Smith

Maryann P. Smith, 82, of Stowe, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, at Chestnut Knoll.

She was a daughter of the late J. Stanley and Gertrude Spoehr. She was predeceased in 2003 by her husband George Smith.

Maryann was a graduate of Pottstown High School and worked in various jobs during her life, including loan processing at the Security Trust Company, and as a furniture salesperson at Hess's and Bon Ton department stores.

She loved cooking and hosting family functions. She left a multitude of her favorite recipes. She also enjoyed gardening and family excursions to the Delaware shore when her daughters were young.

She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Gardocki (Phillip), Royersford, PA, Jamie LaMay (Ray), Steelton, PA and Jennifer Smith, Blandon, PA. She is also survived by her grandson Phil Gardocki, Royersford, PA, and her sister Julia Short (Frank) New Milford, Connecticut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkill's Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown, on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place in the church starting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.

Masks and social distancing will be practiced and required.
