Mary E. Hannum

Mary E. Hannum, 84, widow of George H. Hannum, Sr. of Villa at Morlatton, Douglassville, PA and formerly of Havertown, PA passed away on Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Helen L. (Templeton) Nicholson. Mrs. Hannum had worked for Bell Telephone Co. in Llanerch, PA for many years. She was formerly a member of the Eastern Star having served as a matron for many years. Surviving are two sons, George H. Hannum, Jr. husband of Donna of Douglassville, PA and John E. Hannum husband of Wendy of Stony Point, NY . Also, one brother John Nicholson Husband of Carol of Idaho and eight grandchildren Rita, Joshua, Keith, Jeremy, Kevin, Caitlyn, Kyle and Corey Hannum. Also, a great-grandson Brody Hannum. She is pre-deceased by a twin brother Thomas Nicholson and survived by his wife Gloria of Florida. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Thomas Craver, chaplain of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center officiating. Interment will be in Valley Forge Gardens Cemetery King of Prussia, PA . A viewing will be Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society in care of National Penn Bank 1830 East High Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
