Marlaine K. Troutman, 45, of Collegeville, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Phoenixville Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 16, 1980, in Pottstown PA, Marlaine was the daughter of Bill and Kathy (Warker) Troutman.
Marlaine graduated from West-Mont Christian Academy and Pottstown High School. She attended Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, PA, where she received training and job readiness to work as a dietary aide. Marlaine was employed at Ursinus College where she worked in the dining hall for over sixteen years. She was respected not only for her reliability, but also for her kindness towards students and co-workers. She was the recipient of a Personal Achievement award for her dedication and service at Ursinus College.
Marlaine was a devoted sister to Lauren (Troutman) Palladino, wife of Tony, and to Matt Troutman, husband of Michele Seher. Marlaine found great joy in being an aunt to Jake, Luke, Josh, Grace, and Gabe Palladino, as well as taking care of her pet cats.
Marlaine was a diabetes advocate, a brave and proud breast cancer survivor, and a lifelong supporter of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Marlaine interacted with many and showed kindness to everyone she encountered. Marlaine would meet you and leave a lasting impression and she would forever remember you.
Marlaine always aspired to be independent and was involved in tap dance, piano, soccer, volleyball, horseback riding, and loved Philadelphia sports teams. She had a deep affection towards all animals and enjoyed sharing her newest recipes, artwork, and thoughtful notes.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday April 18, 2026 from 9:30a.m. to 10:45a.m. at Saint Aloysius Gathering Center, 223 Beech Street Pottstown, PA. A mass will follow at the church at 11:00a.m.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Berks County Animal Rescue League at berksarl.org. Click on Donate, then Memorial and Honorarium Gifts, in honor of Marlaine Troutman. Checks can also be sent via mail to 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA, 19508. The Berks County Animal Rescue League partners with a non-profit called ProBerco, that provides support services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
