Mark Lawler, 81, of Pottstown, will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend following his peaceful passing on March 12, 2026. Born on October 17, 1944, to the late Leo and Esther (Geisinger) Lawler, Mark lived a life rich in love, service, and dedication.
He cherished his beloved wife, Carolyn N. (Bailey) Lawler, with whom he celebrated a remarkable 61 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a family filled with warmth and resilience. Mark is survived by his three children, Rhonda (Lawler) Dinnocenti and her husband Brian, Matthew Lawler, and Maureen (Lawler) Miller and her husband Brian. He took immense pride in his four grandchildren: Corryn, Jacob, Darion, and Alexa, and his three great-grandchildren: Killian, Cash, and Evvye. Mark also held his niece and goddaughter, Megan, and his brother Bruce close to his heart. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Melanie R. Lawler, and his siblings Larry, Robert, Gail, Ann, and Joyce, who will welcome him in eternal rest.
A proud graduate of Pottstown High School (Class of 1963), Mark exemplified an unwavering work ethic and deep commitment to his community. He dedicated 43 years to the Dana Corporation, where he served as a Union Steward, and shared his talents for 8 years at Fecera's Furniture. A familiar face in the Pottsgrove School District, his 18 years as a school bus driver allowed him to touch the lives of countless local families.
Mark's dedication to community service was truly exceptional. He served on the Pottstown School Board for 16 years, including nine years as President, and two as Vice President. His civic involvement extended to 31 years as the 5th Ward Republican Committeeman and 11 years as the 5th Ward Judge of Elections, demonstrating his commitment to democratic values and community welfare. An avid supporter of youth sports, Mark inspired countless children as he coached Little League Baseball for the Sundstrom Trophies and Knights of Columbus teams, as well as Babe Ruth baseball.
Family and friends will be invited to celebrate Mark's remarkable life on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11a.m. for service. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, located at 726 E. High St., Pottstown, PA. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till 11a.m. At the funeral home prior to service.
At Mark's request, attendees are encouraged to wear something green in his honor, reflecting his vibrant spirit and love for life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to two charities close to Mark's heart: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Boys Town charity.
Mark Lawler's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, a testament to a life lived fully, with kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for family and community.
