Marguerite Carlini

Marguerite " Marge" Carlini, 92, widow of the late Gus Carlini, completed her journey to eternal life on November 27th surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late John and Mary (Colonna) Dori, Marguerite dedicated her life to her family. She lived most of her life in Stowe in the family homestead where she grew up with her three brothers and three sisters. She attended Pottsgrove schools, and for a time worked as a milliner at The Claire Hat Shop in Pottstown, but cooking and taking care of family made her the happiest. After her marriage to Gus, Marge enjoyed bringing him lunch at the shoe repair shop and even found time to help out there. Gus and Marge loved the outdoors and they experienced many wonderful vacations. Marge enjoyed crocheting, especially with her sister-in-law Anna Dori. She loved working outdoors and took pride in her beautiful flower gardens. Eventually she mastered the art of raising orchids and shared that passion with many friends and family. Marge's love of her extended family filled her life. Nothing made her happier than time spent with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her life was filled with kindness and generosity. Marge was a former member of St. Gabriel's Parish in Stowe, and later at St. Aloysius Parish in Pottstown, where she volunteered in the school for many years. In addition to her husband Gus, Marguerite was predeceased by brothers Peter, Gerald, and Paul Dori, and sisters Philomena Gini, Edna Mariani, and Helen Fontana. Surviving are Marge's daughter and son-in-law Donna and Kevin Hennessey with whom she resided, and the loves of her life, her grandson Jonathan Hennessey, and granddaughter Dori Hennessey and many wonderful nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Saint Aloysius RC Church, Hanover and Beech Streets, Pottstown with Father Joseph Maloney officiating. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove. The family will receive friends in the church Gathering Center on December 1 from 11:00 to 12:15 . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Saint Aloysius School Educational Fund c/o Mr. Jack Schulte, Principal, 220 N. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
