Margaret A Steffey

Margaret A. (Hilborn) Steffey, 85, wife on the late Paul D. Steffey, passed away on June 7, 2025 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Emma Lyn Hilborn, Carl Hilborn Sr and step-mother Ruth Hilborn

Margaret worked many jobs throughout her life; she worked at the Gudebrod Thread factory, drove a school bus, worked at Douglassville Hotel, cleaned homes and even helped around the farm. She liked going shopping at the Dollar Stores, going out to eat to restaurants and drinking a cold Coors Light. Margaret enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and figurines of elephants. She was a true animal lover and caregiver of rats, mice and other little critters. Most importantly Margaret loved to beach and time with her family.

Margaret leaves behind her memories to be cherished by her children: Tandy Steffey (wife Mary), Donna Stauffer (husband Dennis), Paul David Steffey (wife Karen), a sister, Shirley Hojecki, several grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by a daughter, Jean Gaugler, siblings, Carl Hilborn Jr and Linda Moore.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. in Highland Memorial Park cemetery.
