Margaret M. Hiryak

Margaret M. (Schaeffer) Hiryak, 86, wife of Carl Hiryak of Buchert Road, Gilbertsville, PA passed away on Thursday February 26, 2015 at Reading Hospital, Reading, PA . Born in Englesville, PA she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hannah (Dierof) Schaeffer. Margaret was employed at Tung-Sol Electric Co. formerly of Boyertown, PA for 19 years. She then worked as a cafeteria worker for the Boyertown School District. She was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 425 West Walnut Street, Pottstown, PA . Surviving with her husband is a daughter Deborah T. Hiryak of Chesapeake, Virginia and a son Matthew T. Hiryak husband of Lisa of Boyertown, PA and their daughter Olivia. She is also survived by a niece Cindy Ferguson and a nephew Gary Schaeffer and his wife Linda. Margaret is pre-deceased by a brother and his wife William & Caroline Schaeffer. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 11 A.M. A viewing will be Monday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with Panahida services at 8 P.M. There will also be a viewing on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with a service at 10:15 A.M. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Douglassville, PA . Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church at the above address.
