Louise Buttaro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise (Olynyk) Buttaro, who departed this life on January 22, 2026, at the age of 77. Loving wife to Frank Buttaro Jr., Louise was surrounded by her family in her final moments at Pennsburg Manor, where she shared her vibrant spirit and warmth until the very end.

Born on April 3, 1948, in Munich, Germany, Louise was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Weklyn) Olynyk, who immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a passion for creativity and nurturing, evident in her love for sewing, crocheting, and tending to her garden. An avid reader, Louise found joy in the daily newspaper, always eager to stay connected to the world around her.

Traveling brought Louise immense happiness. She loved visiting any beach and walking by the ocean, especially Assateague Island which held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed the thrill of the slots when visiting casinos and the excitement of finding a great bargain while shopping. In her relaxing moments, she enjoyed watching movies and sitting by the pond in her backyard.

Above all, Louise treasured her family, relishing every opportunity to create memories with them. Her love for family extended to her faith, where she found peace and community.

Louise's vibrant personality and zest for life were a source of inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Buttaro Jr., and their beloved children: Michael Buttaro (wife Laura), Peter Buttaro (wife Kathy), Frank Buttaro III (wife Dana), and Nicholas Buttaro (wife Sarah). She is also survived by her dear sister, Linda Bartholomew (Joseph), four wonderful grandchildren, Deanna, Ashley, Franco, Ava, two grand pups, Lincoln, Vinny and all her grand-animals.

Louise is predeceased by her siblings John Olynyk and Mary Burns.

Louise was a true survivor as she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003. She faced the disease with remarkable grace, resilience and her profound faith in God and her church. In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly requesting that donations be made in her name to Fox Chase Cancer Center https://www.foxchase.org/giving/ways-give/donate-now or to her parish Saint Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church (Schwenksville, PA).
