Lillian Grow

Lillian (Hoffer) Grow, age 92, of Pottstown, passed away on July 25, 2026, while residing at Spruce Manor.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Hoffer and was the valedictorian of the Pottstown High School Class of 1951.

She was the widow of Robert W. Grow, Jr.

Lillian was a faithful member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, a member of the Pottstown Area Senior Citizens, and formerly sang alto with the "As Time Goes By" Singers.

Throughout her career, she was employed by Mrs. Smith's Pie Company, Honeywell, Chop-Rite Manufacturing Company, Kern-Lessig Insurance, and Evans, Hausman & Richard Insurance. She was also a partner in her late husband George M. Cisick, Jr.'s business, G.C. Cleaning Service.

Lillian enjoyed reading, going to the movies, visiting her far-flung family over the years, and playing Michigan Rummy with the ladies at Douglass Village, especially her dear friend, Lucille.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Cisick and his wife, Denise, of Birdsboro; James Cisick of Reading; and Stephen Cisick and his wife, Jenny, of Jim Thorpe. She is also survived by her stepchildren, William R. Grow and his wife, Lori, of Fallbrook, California, and Beverly Reitnauer of Bremerton, Washington.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, her sister, Edith Steinman, widow of Jack Steinman, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, two nephews, one niece, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Grow, Jr., and her stepson, Robert W. Grow III, who passed away in 2016.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, August 3, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Funeral services will follow, with interment at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery, 1435 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
