It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Leroy S. Yerger, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 7, 1936, in Pottstown, to Harry and Maggie (Fox) Yerger, Leroy lived a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished moments that will resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Leroy took pleasure in many things throughout his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan, rarely missing a race and always cheering passionately for his favorite drivers. On game days, he could often be found cheering on the Phillies or the Eagles, loyally supporting his favorite teams through every season.
Leroy found immense joy in traveling to Wellsboro with his beloved wife, Margaret, where they created countless memories together. Their shared adventures fostered a deep bond that reflected Leroy's unwavering devotion to her-the love of his life. Whether in quiet moments at home or shared adventures, his greatest joy was simply being by her side.
Leroy is survived by his siblings; Carl Yerger (Carlene); Susan Detwiler (Kenneth); and Jeanette Stauffer, as well as many loving nieces and nephews, who will carry on his legacy of kindness and warmth. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret (Zelenak) Yerger, as well as siblings, Earl Wilson Yerger, Emarine Sharon and brother-in-law Richard Stauffer.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown, followed by a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Highland Memorial Park to follow.
Warker-Troutman Funeral Home Inc. is honored to serve the Yerger family.
As we remember Leroy Yerger, let us reflect on the joy he brought into our lives. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to everyone who had the privilege to know him.
